Transfering with a 3.3/3.4

There is another thread out there that contains the same information

transfering for junior status fall 08
College GPA - 3.3-3.5
SAT - 2070 (M-800,V-620,W-650) - Should I take this again? Im pretty sure i could get something 2250+
ACT - 34

EC: interned this semester, work on campus 10+ a week, part of several clubs

Please chance me and give me any information that you can.

I'm currently trying to make a list of where I should apply and where I shouldnt on the base of possibilities of being accepted.

Bard
Bates
Bucknell
Colgate
Carleton
Davidson
Dickinson
Emory
Holy Cross
Kenyon
Lehigh
Reed
Skidmore
Vanderbilt
Vassar
Wake Forest
Whitman
Colby
Grinell
Pepperdine
U-Penn
Tulane

If there are any other schools that I should look at as well, I would more than appreciate being told about them.
Thanks for any help you can give me

I would appreciate any help that could be given.

you'll get into tulane finnnnnnnnnne hah--it has an 82% transfer rate i'm almost positive you are in (plus even for undergrad my friend who is connected somehow to admissions says they've been known to accept as low as like 1600/2400 haha.)

Thanks for that, I didnt know those were Tulane's transfer statistics (though I'm sure they haven't updated for a while).

Thanks - I would appreciate any comments on this issue.

I think you have fairly decent chances at these schools: (good match/low reach)
:

Wake Forest
Whitman
Colby
Grinell
Pepperdine
Bates
Bard

The rest are EXTREMELY hard to get into and it's anybody's guess haha. Your SATs are very respectable, but for some weirdddd reason the schools like Vandy, Buckenll, etc. are so heavy weighted with sats (like the avg. sat at vandy --and this is not official but it's what my friend who knows some adcoms told me-- it around 2100...but they can accept like 1900+. so i think you are ok.)

honestly!!!!! go for CORNELL .... two of my freinds got in with a 3.3 and 3.4 in the College of Arts & Sciences for Biology major.

Jeremybeach - thanks for telling me that, I'll keep what you said in consideration. Paki - the only Ivy I would ever consider would be Penn and that wouldnt be in any real depth. I have no real interest in attending a school that is an ivy or something that has the same environment of an ivy, the environmen there, though unique and extroadinary, is not for me. I hope you well with your search and college experience.

I would appreciate any comments on this issue. Thanks

I would appreciate any comments, thanks! As its soon to be christmas eve and then following christmas day, I wish you all a merry christmas.

You don't say what your major is/would be. There is no point in applying to an institution that doesn't offer what you want, even if it is easy to get in.

I'm likely to major in one of these three: econ, math, chemistry(or a major to be decided later). These are pretty generic majors and I'm pretty sure every school will have them. My hope is to be in a place that remains relatively small (under 7000, with a few exceptions), has good academics and will be a pretty good overall experience. There are several things about my current school that I am not pleased with that I hope will be different (fixed) at different institutions. Thanks for your post.
