Transferred to FSU and not liking it so far....

Hello, I'm originally from south Florida (Ft. Lauderdale). I went to Broward College, a community college in South Florida and was in the honors program. I had to go to community college for financial reasons and the honors institute at BC sounded good because they gave me a scholarship each semester...

I originally wanted to major in Social Work. I transferred with my AA to FSU because they have a top Social Work school in Florida. However, after taking SW classes at FSU, I decided that this major was not for me. I decided to go into FSU's College of Business. I am finishing up a few prereq's that I didn't take because I was a SW major originally. So far I am very disappointed with FSU's College of Business. The prereq professors for the College of Business that I currently have are very rude and discouraging. Also, the staff within the College of Business are also very rude and condescending.

I want to major in accounting and have been discouraged by some of the staff at FSU. I'm hoping to stick it out, receive my BA here and then go to grad school somewhere else. I want to leave FSU because I can't seem to get used to it here. It is the total opposite of South Florida. I feel pretty lonely because I still haven't made very many friends. I would like to return to South Florida after my BA, and was thinking about attending University of Miami's Grad school to get my MA in Accounting.

My questions are: Should I deal with FSU's crap and stay here for grad school and study accounting? Or would it be a good idea to apply to Grad school at University of Miami for accounting? I'm not sure if accounting is a strength at UM.

UMiami has a pretty decent business program; however, the tuition is very similar to out-of-state alternatives. The campus is not too shabby either. Check out FIU as well.
