Transferring 2 years late

So I went to a really small liberal arts college for 2 years and then I decided to leave since I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I was considering going into a trade school and didn't want to spend more money if I wasn't even going to use the liberal arts degree.

Well now it's 2 years later, and I have changed my mind and decided to finish my liberal arts degree. I have been working for 2 years, and I want to go back to a good school but my grades weren't great. I had 4.0 in high school and 30 on the ACT. I was less motivated in college so my cumulative gpa was only a 3.22 (though my last semester was all As). I don't know if it is pheasible for me to get into better schools, but I want a challenge since I have developed a better work ethic since being in the work force. I am currently looking for schools in the Boston area.

Also, I don't know how to get professor recommendations from professors. I had my classes 2-3 years ago so they may not remember me, and some of the professors aren't at that college anymore. I am going to be 23, so I cannot apply as a non traditional student.
