Are there any good undergraduate business schools that accept students for the spring semester that have been in college for 2 and a half years? I am at Purdue University(just finished my second year) and my goal of going to the best school possible was somewhat cut short today with a couple rejections and I was wondering if there is any good way of tackling this problem I now have on my hands. Please let me know.

Any reason why you don't want to stay at Indiana? They have an excellent Management program. We need to know more about you. What's your GPA, your core business GPA, concentration of business that you are interested in...

I'd suggest Indiana University.

I have a 3.54 GPA overall and I am sure I have a significantly better core business GPA(not really sure what it is). I am majoring in Management right now but I took engineering my first semester. I had a 3.0 my first semester, then a 3.18, and for the next two semesters I got a 4.0 and was involved in Student Government. There is no real reason I want to transfer from Purdue but only to go to the best school I can. I would prefer going to an urban school as that is where I feel most comfortable but as long as it is a school I am satisfied with, then I am willing to go there. Is it unheard of to try and transfer after taking 5 semesters of college courses? Is there a school that someone would recommend to me upon hearing these statistics and my somewhat odd situation? I don't mind taking longer to graduate, also.

^^ i don't see why any school wouldn't like to have a student such as yourself. make sure you're transferring for the right reasons, however. don't transfer simply because of "rankings" or the prestige factor. make sure any school you apply to admits students for spring session, and make sure it's the right fit for you. best of luck in what you do, and hope you find a school which better suits your needs and desires.

I would advise you stay, since you don't seem to dislike your school. Purdue has an excellent reputation.

If you really want to transfer to a Business school in an urban area, check out:
USC
Georgia Tech (maybe?)
Ohio State
University of Maryland

your biggest obstacle will be residency requirements...you'll probably just have to forfeit a semester's worth of credits at some schools.

As for urban, I would also add:

Boston University
UNC
Emory
NYU Stern
UIUC

Note that you'll want to call and check with those schools if you're interested as most of them make you apply to the b-school by your junior year (Emory, UNC) so you may be set back one semester first, but it'd be worth it IMO.
