Okay so here’s my situation: I graduated high school early and started at my CCC this past spring. I’m going to push it and apply this fall rather than waiting another year. I have a 4.0 in my transferable courses and a 3.8 overall. I’ m applying to UC Davis for Pharmaceutical Chemistry. I’ll have my IEGTC done with 60 units by spring. Do you think I’ll be okay? The only thing I’m worried about is not completing enough chemistry courses as they are hard to get into at my school. I’ve spoken with the chemistry adviser from Davis about the prereqs and he said that they aren’t necessarily required. What do you guys think? Worst case I guess I’ll just have to wait another year.
No harm in applying for this year and like you stated, you can always apply the following year if you are rejected. Are you doing TAG?
No, I’ll have 30 units IP in fall but they have to had been completed by the end of summer. I’ll have 60 by spring though.
to qualify for tag*
Yes, apply. Worst-case scenario would be taking a lighter schedule next year, and taking many more chemistry courses.
How many units will you be taking per term?
Agree with all. Apply.
I usually take around 18 per term (8 during winter and summer).
