Transferring after one semester? Please help!

Hello everyone! This fall, I will be attending Rutgers-Newark. Honestly, for the past month now, all I've been thinking about is not attending this school at ALL. I've read reviews from students and most of them said that the school isn't good, safe, etc. However, can I transfer after a semester? I've seen on some forums that students have been able to transfer to Rutgers-New Brunswick as a Spring Transfer. So, if I maintain a GPA over 3.5, do you think I can be admitted? I'm going to apply to the Arts and Sciences school.

I want to attend Rutgers-NB because I have read that the school has much better education, dining halls, dorming, school spirit, and more. I want all of this! So please, can someone help me out here?

Bump please?

You need to contact the Rutgers-NB admission office and ask.

Well, I talked to a few students on this website that were able to transfer as 2nd Semester freshman. So, it is possible. So, do I have a chance?

bump?

bump please?

Why do you think that people on this list can tell you what your chances are to transfer before you even have any courses taken? Call the Rutgers-NB office and ask for their transfer admission rate and what the average GPA is. That will give you something to shoot for but there are never any guarantees.

You’re right xraymancs. I will contact them soon!

Ignore what people/review says. ONLY YOU will decide after attended the school. You are beating yourself up before even attending. How do you know the school is not safe? There are more schools less safe than Rutgers but every year 1000’s students graduate from there and every where.
