Transferring and confused about transcripts

I submitted my priority application to UMD on March 1st, got all my documents in and everything, and then the other day I remembered I attended an arts college for less than a semester before taking some time off and enrolling in a different school. I didn't receive credit for any of the courses and am not looking to.

I'm confused about two things: 1) Are my acceptance chances shot for UMD because It looks like I lied? The school even changed names and I'm not even sure about how to go about getting those transcripts. Or is there anything I should do or someone to call and try and correct this, if it is a problem?

Also, 2) So I don't mess up on anymore applications, are these minuscule transcripts required? How will they know if I don't submit them?

Thank you

I did that too. I’m cross-registered at another university for one class that isn’t even calculated in my gpa and, although I’m given a student number, am not really a student at. I called the admissions office (UMDCP) and the woman said to send in an email amending my app. So I emailed them the information for that university based what they asked for in the UMDCP application. I have to send in a transcript for that class at the end of the semester. I’m pretty certain you will need to do the same thing because you were still registered for courses, plus if they found out about it it could look bad (especially if withdrawing gave you Ws). But I have no idea how they would find out, it’s just something I personally wouldn’t risk. You can always just call the admissions office (I called the number at the bottom of the admissions webpage).

Talk to the people at UMD about this one. Get everything in writing so that you can put the information in your files for future reference.

Good luck!
