on the PSU application it said to foward AP credit to the undergraduate admissions office but it didn't say how to do you. how are you guys fowarding AP credit to the undergraduate admissions office?

Pay Collegeboard and have them send your scores to the admissions office. I don't believe there is more than one way.

Yes, send your scores via college board. If you are accepted and choose to go to PSU, they will ask for a $10 processing fee to apply the courses to your PSU transcript. they require specific AP scores depending on the course. for instance, you must get a 5 in AP Psychology in order to get college credit

Just be aware that when you come in with credits Penn State may advance you to an upperclassman earlier. There is an tution increase that goes along with that. We found out the hard way.

mrtagr, but you also get to register for classes earlier. The more credits you have the earlier you get to register (after FTCAP of course). My S came came in with 16 credits. Some AP, some college courses he had taken in HS. He'll get to register for his 2nd semester a few days earlier than the rest of his freshman class, so that's a positive.

My son is in the honors college so he registers much earlier anyway. In his major most classes he doesn't have a choice with anyway but coming in with 28 credits allowed him to take elective classes he wanted to instead of required ones. I just feel in your second year of college and his major requires five years he shouldn't pay that much more as an upperclassmen for four years. The credits are not allowing him to graduate any earlier.

So I just realized I have to pay extra for next semester, because right now I have 64 credits and 59.1+ is considered "upperclassman". I should have waited a semester before I had my summer courses transfer for credit.

Sorry to hear you didn't know either. It seems a bit unfair.
