Transferring as a junior: Still need to send SAT scores?

Hi. I applied to some universities for transfer few days ago. But what I found out was that some of them still require me to send SAT scores? (I'm currently sophomore at a state university). Why do they still ask for SAT scores even when I'm transferring as a junior? Will my application NOT be considered and reviewed if I don't send the scores?

If a school requires that you submit SAT scores, then your application will be incomplete without them and will not be considered. Some of the highly selective colleges want to see your entire record for review, though they are likely to put much more weight on your college record as a jr transfer.

@entomom Thank you for your reply! You helped me a lot.

I’m also applying as a transfer to Junior year and some of my universities require SAT, but most don’t.
Sometimes you just have to read clearly, for example Tufts says that SAT scores and preferable but not required, and then in the FAQ with the Dean of Admissions, he clarified “preferable”, he said, its not a test or a hidden thing, you application will not be under any harm if you don’t send it.

Just out of curiosity, which schools are you applying to?

@UNgirl I’m applying to private universities in the Northeast. Thanks a lot for you comment. It’s very helpful!

@realgeukrak I’m glad I could help.
I’m also applying to private universities in the northeast so if you want for a specific university, you can ask me.
