<p>how popular is it to transfer as a junior? I think I may wait out another year in Binghamton and try to transfer as a junior to NYU in order to save alot of money. Can any junior transfers post their thoughts on this matter? Does it create an awkward and uncomfortable situation, or does it just depend on the person as it would applying as a sophomore?</p>

<p>I know some people for whom it worked out very well. A couple who ended up at top grad programs. You just want to make sure you have plenty of direction going into the college as a junior in terms of major and how hard you'll have to work for itnernship opps, etc., which might mean doing more research about a school than being a sophomore transfer.</p>
