Hi all, I'm looking to transfer from UC Riverside to CSULB.
My situation is very complex, the good

I originally transferred from community college( I love SMC)

I did the entire CSU GE Breadth pattern , and transferred with a 3.1( CSU) into UCR
68 units from SMC .

I only have 12k in debt , as of the end of this spring , I plan to take some time off and start paying that down
with a job( 3+ years experience in QA( testing software) and i've talked to a few recruiters who sound like they may be able to help me get a decent job this summer )

The bad

I'm a poli sci major, but after seeing that to even get a job with that degree I need grad school I'm deciding to take a different path .

I lack many of the pre-reqs for Info Systems, to get them out the way I'm going back to SMC for a while to take additional classes .

I had a bad winter quarter at UCR- luckily these units don't have as much weight as the ones from SMC, but still my SMC GPA is 3.1( 68 semester uniits) and my UCR GPA is 2.3(24 quarter Units-- like 18 semester units .

I wasted a year of my life out in Riverside and I miss my friends back in LA.

The Awesome
I've talked to recruiters that would hire me for high paying jobs if I had the Info Systems degree- we're talking 50k plus , one job had a pay of 55$ an hour, this one required alot of experience , but I want to aim for a high paying job .

If I get into CSULB I'll be able to fit in work so I can hopefully work my way though school- I know I might need more loans , but I really want to work hard enough that I can focus on paying down that 12k , instead of graduating with 30k+ in debt( this is my estimate of how much it would cost to finish up poli sci at UCR) .

I know this has been a very long rant, but I'd like to know how hard it would be to transfer as an Info Systems Major , in case CSULB doesn't accept me I'm willing to go to ether CSUN or CSULA
Thanks for your time
