Transferring back while on financial aid suspension?

I went to GCC receiving a GPA of 2.53 at 33 credits . I transferred to ECC which is a community college in the same district, taking only two classes since they were both in the subjects I don't do well in the most .

After struggling through classes I was notified that there are extremely low chances I was going to pass so I withdrawled thinking id save my gpa . I transferred back to GCC this semester since I couldn't learn well with my experience at EMCC .

Now I got a message from ECC saying I have been placed on financial aid suspension because of failure to meet cumulative GPA minimum and failure to satisfactorily complete at least 66.67% of cumulative credits attempted .

My question is if I can still get financial aid for GCC or am I suspended anywhere ? If anywhere, can I fix this to still get financial aid this semester ?

Most schools do not care whether you are on financial aid probation at another school, although some do (I doubt a CC would, but it’s worth it to find out for sure). As long as you were not on SAP at the former school, you should be okay. HOWEVER … SAP regulations were tightened up (on the federal level) this year. It is possible that you might be on SAP at the previous school now even though you were not when you left, simply because the rules have changed.

The only way to know is to get your questions ready, call GCC, and ask.
