Transferring Between Colleges

^ Is it possible at Penn? Specifically, I’ve been accepted to the School of Engineering and Applied Science but I’d really like to switch to the College of Arts and Sciences. My interests have changed in the past 4 months and I’m not really sure I want to continue with chemical engineering, which is what I had intended to do. Thanks.

fill out a brief app explaining why you want to change, and have a minimum gpa of 3.0, and you'll be set...

you'll probably want to talk to your advisor, once you have one assigned, to learn about the best ways about changing in light of your career goals.

It is fairly easy to transfer into SAS. Penn is worried about frustrated engineers quitting and hurting our graduation rate, so they much prefer to send them off to SAS and boost our US News stats

and how

.

Information about transferring into the College from another school at Penn can be found here:

Just out of curiosity, can you apply to transfer into Wharton?

Or would it just be the same as trying to transfer from an outside university

It's easier than transferring from an outside school, but by no means a sure thing.

You also have to wait one year before you can transfer.

To transfer into wharton, you need around a 3.7 GPA after a year.

You can certainly transfer to SAS, but give engineering a chance. There's some stellar classes to be taken.
