Transferring between CSU's?

I live 20 minutes or so away from Turlock's CSU Stanislaus. That university is really easy to get in. I was wondering if I could go there for a couple of years to get the general classes done(at a cheaper price and while staying at home) and then transfer to SDSU or Cal Poly SLO. I heard that its easier to transfer between universities then directly going to Cal Poly or SDSU.

What do you guys recommend? What do you know about this?

Not sure what yahoo has given you that advice. CCC to CSU gets higher priority than CSU to CSU transfer. Do your GEs at a CCC. If you have a good GPA you can even transfer into top UCs.

That’s what I was thinking, but from what I’ve heard, community colleges are getting crowded when it comes to GE’s. Plus, going to a CC means that they won’t even look at my high school grades. I’ve worked my behind off too much to just have it go ignored.

So I asked another source and was told that it is actually harder to transfer between CSUs, especially if they aren’t around the same level of “prestige”.
