Transferring: currently a rising sophomore at College

Hello!

I just finished my first year of College at a liberal arts school (ranked ~30 on USNews) and would like to transfer to another school. I applied this year and got into UNC chapel hill, but due to financial issues (no aid for intl. students and I could not defer admission to apply for scholarships), I was unable to attend. I would love to transfer to either Columbia/Cornell/Notre Dame/Bowdoin but know that it will be very hard I was wondering if you could suggest some schools and/or chance me! Thank you!

Getting the aid you need will probably be your biggest problem. For the best chance at transfer, you need to have the highest college GPA you can get, and you need excellent letters of recommendation.
