transferring for fall 2013 NY universities

Hello

I'm currently looking at universities in NY or close to NY/NJ. Right now I'm in my 3r year at CC.

Little background about me. My family and I moved to US 7 years ago. In high school I had pretty low GPA. When I took SATs, I did pretty good on math part, but english parts were pretty low( ~350). So CC was my only choice. My first semester I took all ESL courses. Second was ENG 101 (got C in it), third was ENG 102 ( got B in it). My major is Finances.

Current GPA 3.4

This semester(fall 2012) I'm taking 3 classes. Spring 2013 I'm taking 4 more. If everything goes as planed, my GPA should be around 3.6.

I don't really have any EC activities, beside I'm on CC tennis team. Because of the work/college, I don't have much times for clubs, ect.

My choice of schools so far is:
PACE business school
Rutgers business school
NYU Stern

How are my chances of getting in those schools?

NYU is a high reach.

The others are matches.

Are you sure that you can transfer after three years at a community college? I am a transfer applicant, and all of the ones I have looked at say two years is the maximum.

A 3.4 GPA at CC is not very good, since you have no competition. I agree with Bubbles’ assessment.

I’m only taking courses that will transfer and go towards my BA. I’m not getting a AA degree from CC. The thing is, my first semester I took 3 ESL classes. I also took 2 other classes which I didn’t need to take, but advisor for unknown reason put me in it. (When I took placement test for CC classes, I score in mid 90’s on math part, and the advisor put me in basic algebra (mat 135) ) As of right now I have around 50 credits.

For the fall I’m taking 11 credits and for the spring 12 credits (so I can play on tennis team)

I do understand my GPA is really low, and I’m working on increasing it this last 2 semesters.
