<li>In general how difficult is it to transfer from a 4 year college to a UC (not UCB, UCLA, or UCSD)?</li>
<li>Is it possible to transfer from a 4 year university to a UC with a GPA around 3.0-3.1?</li>
<li>Would a person going to an out of state college (but from California) be considered an instate resident?</li>
<li>How are UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Irvine when it comes to accepting transfer students from 4 year universities?</li>

<p>One of my friends had a 3.4 gpa at a Cal State and was admitted to UCR and UCI, but rejected from UCSC this year.</p>
<p>I will be transferring to a new school this fall, but may apply to the UC’s for Fall 2008, just in case I don’t like my new school.</p>
<p>Yea, but I'm worried that I might get really homesick and won't be able to adjust to something that is pretty far outside of my comfort zone. That's why I'm thinking of applying to UCSB, UCI, and (possibly) UCD. I'm hoping that I like it up there because so far, the school has been great to me. One of the classes I needed for my major was full when I was registering, but one of the advisers made a phone call to the department and they let me into the class. I met with a separate business adviser and they already helped me set up a plan for which courses I should take over the entire year. I am kind of worried about adjusting to such a different environment (Eugene is like a foreign country compared to LA).</p>
