Can I transfer to an art or animation school from a CC? (WLAC) I currently plan on majoring in computer science but I’m deciding if I should change to animation or illustration. I REALLY love art and animation! I’ve been drawing since I was a kid and I do digital art to this day. I’m just curious if I should change majors but will I be able to transfer to a art/animation school? Also the school i’m looking into is Ringling College of Art + Design! It’s really fascinating, i’m hearing lots of good things and I just got the 2016 info book and I am in love with everything inside of it! is it possible to get admitted to Ringling after a couple of years of Community College? In other terms, is it possible to transfer there from West Los Angeles Community College?

You can apply to Ringling for CA but you will still be entering as freshman status most likely… It’s art first and you’ll need a great portfolio to gain admission. Your college credits may be applicable to general courses but not to art courses.
