Alright, I am not sure if I am posting this on the right thread. However, I wanted to know if anyone can give me tips on what I would need to do in order to be able to successfully transfer into Barnard College.

Work hard get your gpa as close to 4.0 as possible and work on writing good essays. If you do all this then be proud of the what you have accomplished even if you are not accepted. Also find a saftey school as you never want to be without a backup.

You could post this question in the Transfer Forum (click on “Discussion Home” in the upper-left of this screen and then scroll down to find it) and/or in the Women’s Colleges sub-forum that is at the top of this forum. You will get good ideas both places.

Smith and Mt. Holyoke routinely recruit at Happykid’s CC, as do several other top-notch institutions. One of our neighbors who graduated from that CC is now at Smith with a sizable scholarship. I don’t personally know any stories about Barnard. You should get in touch with the transfer admissions counselor at Barnard, so that you can discuss your long-term goals, and so that you can find out how to best position yourself as an applicant.

Thank you so much for your input! I truly appreciate your post. I finally figured out how to post it under the correct thread. haha Anyway, I’ve been discussing Barnard with my transfer counselor and we have touched based on the school. However, he hasn’t worked with any other student who is looking to transfer into Barnard. I will however get in touch with Barnard’s transfer counselor. I am excited, yet nervous at the same time. I know that I am going to have to work hard and stand out in some way.
