Transferring From a CC to either NYU Steinhardt or Baruch (Undecided)

I’m new here so I will make this short and sweet. I attended Community College and did well while I was there. I have a 3.5 GPA and I meet all the requirements for the NYU CCTOP program.

<a href="http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/cctop/">http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/cctop/</a></p>

I was thinking of majoring in Media, Culture, and Communications. I am very picky but have many interests at the same time. I want to explore different fields such as, public relations, marketing etc or even sports at Madison Square Garden, ESPN etc. You can even sprinkle some journalism or broadcasting/radio in there as well. I also love technology and always keep up with the latest trends in that department. So working for technology companies in the form of communications would be an option.

I was recently accepted into Baruch and I like what they have to offer. But searching the opportunities I felt they don’t really apply to me, or what I would be looking for. However, at NYU they offer opportunities that seem like a fit.

Money is a huge factor and I could go to Baruch free with financial aid, or I could go to NYU with 50% off tuition every year (CCTOP Scholarship). This is basically my main issue. My wallet says Baruch but my heart says NYU.

If I choose Baruch, what kind of opportunities could I expect? Is NYU worth the price even with a 50% discount a year? Can I find my niche at both schools? Which value is better here?

I’ve been asking around to every school professional you can think of and haven’t got a clue. I haven’t got accepted into NYU yet so I shouldn’t stress it that much (they will contact students after April) but I need to hear from individuals that know what they are talking about. I really appreciate any help with this tough decision.

anybody out there?
