Transferring from a CC without an AA

I've been at the CC since the Spring of 07 and even took summer classes this year to try and finish up. I had to take prep classes for math and writing, which took up most of 07.
Now, I'm only 10 courses away from getting my AA, but I feel it's been too long and I should transfer without the AA.

My GPA at the moment is at a 2.8(currently awaiting two more grades)

My question is, what is the better choice? Transfer or wait ? I'm 22 years old and feel in a hurry to get into university already... Your advice is appreciated...

People transfer without completing an AA all the time. Your biggest enemy in this process is going to be your GPA. Stop by the transfer office at your community college tomorrow and make an appointment with the counselors there to find out what your options are. Their only job is to help you get transferred into a four year college/university. They are the experts.
