<p>I am currently doing AS from a community college in Illinois. My future plans are to go for Biomedical Engg. or Biological Sciences. I migrated to the USA 3 months back and CC was the only choice for me to get in. At present i am able to easily score As in all the subjects i have taken up. I want to know that can i get a trasnfer from a CC to a prestigious college. I know that's hoping something very high but i know i can work hard for it. But, do the prestigious colleges like JHU, Yale, Princeton,etc. accept students from CC?
I have a good amount of lab work and achievements supporting me.</p>
<p>Please reply at the earliest, and even let me know which courses should i take up at CC in order to go ahead with the careers i stated above. </p>

<p>its tough to transfer to ivys from a CC. they only take 1-4 percent of CC students if they decide to take any at all…</p>
<p>i think your best bet would be to personally talk to someone at the universities you listed.</p>

<p>You might also talk with the transfer counselors at your CC and find out which universities they have transfer agreements with. Most CCs will have agreements with the in-state public universities, and the agreements help with the transferring of the most credits.</p>
<p>It’s rare, sure. But don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible. I did it. Two of my friends in my CC’s honors program did it. </p>
<p>Princeton, for the record, doesn’t accept transfers at all. As one of my dean’s likes to call them, they’re the best 13th grade in the country.</p>
