Transferring from a non-California CC to USC, UCLA, UCB, etc....what are the statistics on that? What are their acceptance rates from other states? I can't seem to find the information on the USC or UC website(s)...any help appreciated:)

i know privates like USC usually dont have any priority if you are a california resident

but UC’s i believe do give prioirty to california residents. and there is a statistics on acceptance rates from out of CA somewhere…if i find it ill post back.

that’s good to know, thanks:)

I looked around on Collegeboard for UCB and UCLA and for UCB the acceptance of first time out of state freshman is 8%, and for UCLA it is 10%. That is for first time Freshman however. I’m not sure if it would be higher or lower for someone coming in as a out of state Junior. But I can’t imagine it varying too much.

YIKES!! Thanks for the info…good to know:)

For transfers, UC’s accept about 85% of students from CA community colleges, 7-10% from CA state universities and UC’s, and the rest from out-of-state or international schools.
