Transferring from a Tier 4 university to an elite. Premature advice needed !. Please

Dear CC member's,

I am heading to a Tier 4 university in Minnesota. It has always been my dream to attend an elite school for Undergrad engineering.

I plan to transfer after 2 years and my H.S. record is as follows :-

GPA - 3.0-3.1
SAT 1 - 1560 (650 M , 450 CR, 460 CW)
TOEFL - 100/120
E.C.'s - Not Much

My college list so far is :-
1) UPenn
2) Cornell
3) University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
4) Cal - Berkley
5) UCLA
6) University of Illinois
7) University of Minnesota - Twin cities (safety)
8) Yale
9) Stanford
10) Ga Tech
11) Columbia

If there are any other Universities if you people would want to add to this prospective list. Please do so.

My main questions is - What should I be working towards, when I am aiming at such elite schools. Is there a possibility that I CAN get in ?

Also, Can some one let me know which courses should I be taking for Cal ? (I checked assist.org, but that is specific to community colleges)

Any other info would be greatly appreciated. I would be grateful if someoone would help me out.

Thanks in advance.

Try something really outstanding otherwise the chance is small for Ivies (well, I don’t know much about Cornell maybe it is worth a shot…) Anyway, good luck!!!

Thanks a lot.

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
