Transferring from a top 30 university

Hi Everyone!
I am not happy where I am as a freshman. I am looking to transfer to start my sophomore year next fall.
I am applying to William and Mary, Vanderbilt, Columbia, Yale, Brown, Cornell (legacy), UPenn, JHU (legacy), and Georgetown.
My current school is very academically rigorous (top 30 university) but is too small, with not enough course offerings or research opportunities unfortunately.
I am applying to study Russian. At JHU and Cornell I’m applying as a history major.
High school GPA 3.92/4 unweighted, 4.2/4/5 weighted
2050 SAT
College GPA- 3.6 A, A-,A- and B (in Russian- very challenging, intensive course)
I am involved in leadership positions in many clubs/papers/journals related to my major.
Two recommendation letters for professors in history and Russian- very good.
Hoping I have a good chance of transferring. Thank you!!

I’m applying for Russian at Yale too.

I got a 4.0 in Intermediate Russian 2; hardest class I ever took in my life.

Good luck man.

As a sophomore or junior? Where are you transferring from?

Junior transfer.

Mostly community college, took Elementary Russian at Santa Monica College, but I took intermediate Russian at the University of California, Irvine.

good luck
