<p>Hey everyone, my friend is currently a sophomore at UC San Diego and wants to transfer to UC Berkeley because of financial reasons: His mom got laid off and needs a lot of help around the house (Bay Area) and his brother needs to go through a fifth year in college, so it'd be extremely difficult for them to afford housing in La Jolla. So my friend is wondering if there's even a chance for him to transfer, and if so, how? He'd like to go into economics or business, something in that area, and has taken a lot of what seems to be equivalent courses. Any input would be very much appreciated.</p>
<p>transferring among UC's is not easy (most transfer slots are saved to jc transfers), but your friend has a very good reason for it, particularly if he is going to live at home.</p>
<p>Apply like every other transfer, but be clear on the reasons why.</p>
<p>btw: Haas is almost impossible to transfer into...</p>
