Hey all. So, I originally wanted to major in Chem with an emphasis on biochem, but now after taking physics this year, I think I might want to try and get into BME? Is this difficult/frowned upon? Thanks, haha.

I think it is possible.
The people whom I know transferred all went from BME –> Arts and Sciences.
So most possibly you can go from A&S –> BME.
Just ask your four-year and/or major advisor :)

Pretty sure it’s possible. I recently received an E-mail from the admission office telling me that it is no problem for them to transfer me from BME to chem major (opposite from you haha). Just send them an E-mail to request it. I think it’s better and easier if you do it now.

I know a ton of people who switched from artsci to engineering. Even as late as their sophomore year.
If you’re sure about it though, definitely email so that you can get an engineering advisor
*** one of the biggest perks of this? you’ll be able to take the writing 1 placement test if you don’t have the other things (ap, sat, or act score) to get out of it. It will also let you go through engineering orientation, which is full of info you should know.
