I have one more year to graduate at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. I really want to transfer to a better universities in USA, and my dream university is NYU. My GPA currently is 3.5, but I will work hard to improve it. I wonder if I graduate in RMIT, there is anyway that I get into NYU as a transfer student. Will they require SAT of ACT?. Please give me some advice.

It probably makes no sense to apply to NYU for a second bachelor’s degree. You would be better off to look at their post-graduate programs.

Thanks for reply happymomof1
Should I transfer to USA on Spring or wait to finish in AUS in the next 1.5 years.
In addition, I was adviced that universities in USA won’t accept me to study postgraduate after I graduate in AUS right away, because we use 3 years system, not 4 years.

Each postgraduate program decides for itself whether or not an Australian degree is valid for admission. If you have a specific program that you are interested in, email that program and ask.

What, exactly, is it that you think an undergrad degree from NYU will do for you that your current program can’t?

I always want to study in NYU since I was little kid. However, I had family issues in the last 2 years so I can’t go to USA. NYU probably provide better study environment for me. I know is really difficult to transfer to NYU, but I just give it a try.
I will email to NYU to ask about whether or not they accept Australian degree.
