<p>It's unfortunate that the latter schools consider HS transcripts, although your test scores are good. If you can make a case as to why/how you turned around between HS and college, and a rec metions how great a student you are, then you do have a chance--just don't count on the schools being a match.</p>
<p>Although I agree with most people that places like Harvard and Stanford would be a reach for you, I would still suggest that you apply, try your best, and see what happens. Personally, I think it would be worth the money and time because you'd learn a lot about yourself with the applications, and if you write amazing essays and get awesome recs, you never know what places like Harvard and Stanford will say to you. I strongly recommend you apply... this is coming from a high school drop-out who went to a community college afterwards, didn't even get a 4.0 or do any outstanding ECs and still got waitlisted at Stanford this past year. If I wasn't the perfect person to tell you this, I don't know who would be. Goodluck with your applications!</p>
