Transferring from Community College. Chances?

Before you read this, yes, I did search, and found a whole lot of threads regarding the chances for freshman applicants to these schools, but not transfer applicants from community colleges.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what my chances are for the folowing schools. I all ready applied.

Brown University
Cornell University
Boston University
Syracuse University
Binghamton University

Here are the stats for my first two years of college.

Work Experience: I became a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) before graduating high school, by sitting for the PCTB National Examination. Since then I have worked well over 20 hours a week for CVS Pharmacy and Target Pharmacy. While I was in high school, I worked in a pizza shop, as well as a car dealership.

*****I also studied abroad this year in Southern Mexico. This was heavily incorporated into my application essays, because I want to become a Portfolio Manager, and specialize in Socially Conscious Investing. My time in Mexico was spent studying the effects of NAFTA and the globalization of capitalism, especially on the indigenous population.

My accounting professor and sociology professor (who is also a professor at Cornell) wrote my letters. Both were outstanding, and were written on a personal level.

Thanks!

*already applied. Sorry for the spelling mistakes and grammar errors. I typed that up really quick.

That’s because you didn’t go to the Transfer Students forum, where this is headed now ;).

I don’t do Chances, but a couple of things that people are going to need to know:

Are you applying for FA at Brown? They have need-aware admissions for transfers and limited FA:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/936056-brown-transfer-applicant-survey-fa-need-aware-admissions.html?highlight=need+aware

Also, what is your cumulative college gpa?

I applied for Financial Aid. My family’s total income exceeds $160,000, so I don’t qualify for subsidized loans or grants, etc. I am paying for my education with unsubsidized government loans.

Cumulative GPA: 3.75 / 4.0 scale
