After this fall semester, I will have completed my A.S. degree and will also be ready to transfer. I have taken all of the general electives that appeal to me at my cc and I intend to start working on my pre med after I transfer. (I don’t want to take any pre med at my community college. ) However, my main issue is that many of the schools that I would like to transfer to only accept transfers for the fall semester. I am considering the idea of taking the spring semester off and waiting till the fall to start my new school, but I am afraid that admissions would frown upon that. Any insight on this would be much appreciated.
You can always email the admissions office at schools you are applying to, to see what they think.
Many, many, many students take a semester or a year off. Don’t worry about this.
Yep don’t worry about it. I would defiantly take some time off. I know I did and It actually helps. It help me relax from the stress i felt from school and helped me figure out what i actually want to do. That way i know what im getting into and not waste time. I took a whole semester off (fall), then for spring I only took 1 class at the cc (to save money instead of taking it at a uni). I am actually transferring right now. They don’t really look into when you took the classes. They rather look at what classes and how well you did in them.
