ok so im currently going to community college and i want to transfer to a really good 4yr university (colleges like tulane). i know schools of this status have a really low acceptance rate but im determined. i dont have my associates yet b/c i did have to take some time off from school due to some personal family issues. however, i hope to be finished soon. i would just like to know what are you guys advice on what i can do to really distinguish myself form the crowd? extracurricular activities, volunteering, anything that would increase my chances.
thanks for reading.

pretty much anything that doesn’t show you’re a lazy butt would help!

i.e. you could volunteer to tutor or at a hospital, etc. But be sure to be DEDICATED TO ONE PLACE and not do a variety of different things at once, it shows commitment.

also, since i believe you’re 18+ you could get a job and that could really improve your resume, it shows you have prior experience in the workplace.
