Is it possible to transfer from FSU after ONE year, and is it really hard?

What stats do you think would be needed to successfully gain admission?

You have to have 60+ hours of transfer credit and all of the prerequisites for your major to transfer. Your chances of success depend on whether or not you meet those requirements in addition to your college GPA.

My son’s best friend was denied from UF 2 years ago and heartbroken. She enrolled at FSU and tried her best to be happy. She maintained a 4.0, joined a sorority but never felt quite right there. While many students find their prior school of choice just wasn’t meant to be and can move on to find happiness and thrive at schools where they were accepted, some students never forget that dream school. Try your best to make FSU all it can be but if after a year you still feel you would fit better at UF then yes it is not too difficult to transfer as my son’s friend just did! You need to have 60 credits which depending on your AP’s may not take too long but most likely a year to year and a half minimum. Our friend applied this past October, as a sophomore, and was admitted to UF early December for Spring semester. She enrolled last month is now beyond happy as a Gator and even affiliated with the UF chapter of her sorority from FSU. The only stipulation is that transfers may only attend 4 semesters. Only being a sophomore leaves her with 5 semesters since she doesn’t want to graduate early (Why rush the best years of your life?! lol) so she is planning to study abroad one semester which she was considering anyway. You might find you love FSU but if not, you can easily transfer. Good luck!
