Hello, I finished my application to Binghamton University and after some thinking, I'm not so confident at all that I'll get into Harpur. Can I switch my college to CCPA now by emailing Binghamton? Im an Instate Student.

At this point, with the notification deadline being so soon, you are probably better off just keeping it the way it is. If they have already made a decision on your application, they may have to have you completely re-apply. Generally if you get in for Harpur and want to switch, you can do so after at least one semester there. If you do not get in, then you can possibly apply transfer to CCPA for another semester. Good Luck!

Once the Admissions Committee has made a decision on an applicant, they will generally not allow for modifications to the application. I know that last year, in certain cases they would email students who were rejected from Harpur with an offer to CCPA. I have no official word on whether this will occur again this year.

Basically, unless Admissions actually contacts you with an offer, you cannot switch schools without a new application.
