Transferring from MSU to Michigan

Hi, I'm a sophomore at MSU and I'm interested in transferring for the winter semester. I'm not exactly sure how I stand so I was just curious if I have a decent shot at getting in to Michigan. I graduated high school with a 3.5 gpa and had a 30 act.

I'm a math major with a 3.75 gpa.My first semester I got a 3.88, my second a 3.55 and then a 4.0 in my summer session. I've had a rigorous schedule with many honors courses and 300 & 400 level classes my freshman year. This semester i'm taking honors real analysis, a graduate course in econometrics, imperial Chinese history, a computer science class, and a general requirement.

I'm particularly interested in transferring as I would mostly be taking graduate courses next year and I feel rather polarized in my current graduate course and would not like that trend to continue. Furthermore, I'm interested in working on a startup and East Lansing's entrepreneurial scene is disappointing.

As far as extracurriculars go, I ran a brick and mortar business with 100k in revenue during high school and in college I'm part of the Federal Reserve Challenge and a research assistant in a biology lab.

I'd appreciate any advice to boost my profile and how you think I'll fair in the admissions game.

Thanks!

I think you’ll get in. Everything looks good, you’ve done everything you need to do.

Are you able to access the “Questions” or “Writing supplement” portion on the common app for Michigan?

Thanks for the reply, I really hope I do! Oddly enough i’m not able to yet (which I find strange given the application deadline is coming up). If anyone else is willing to comment on my chances I’ll chance back as well.
