Transferring from nyu, money reasons

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>So basically, I am currently a sophomore at NYU, studying economics and journalism. My grades are very good, I think after this semester, I should have about a 3.75, and I did well in hs too. </p>

<p>However, due to the fact that my parents need to pay for an apartment in NYC on top of one of the most expensive tuitions, plus food etc, my family just cannot afford to send me to NYU anymore. </p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for schools of equal to possible slightly higher caliber schools, where tuition + fees won't be close to the 80k that NYU ends up being. Ideally, I'm looking for schools around the same prices as UCs, but anything 40k> is do-able. </p>

<p>80k for nyu?! crazy, definitely a good choice to peace out of there. well you said UCs so those are obvious. vanderbilt has great finaid for transfers, so apply there. chapel hill and emory also might be nice if you don’t mind the south.</p>
