Hello all,

I am currently a sophomore attending Old Dominion University, majoring in Computer Science. I am also in the Honors College, and after my 3rd semester here I have a 3.85 cumulative (yay).

The reason I am considering transferring is because I am simply looking for a better college experience and education. I originally chose ODU over VT and JMU because ODU offered me honors college and large scholarships. I took the shiny apple, and fell into somewhat of a trap.

Since I am looking to maintain a scholarship and honors college to whatever school I transfer to, JMU is my top option. I love the campus and its residents, and after speaking with staff they told me I am likely to receive scholarship and honors college based off my current GPA. I just finished my application for JMU.

Tech would be great as well, but chances of getting academic scholarship and honors college are alot more slim there.

So right now I have my vision set on JMU, but I was just wondering if anyone on this forum had any wise insight to other options I should consider? Or does my decision seem to make the most logical sense? I'm shooting for a non commuter college with great spirit and environment, decent prestige, and the ability to nail scholarships and honors college as well.

Thanks for any replies in advance!
