I just got accepted into SFSU as a junior transfer this past year as a journalism major, and I’ll be attending SFSU for the next year. I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to transfer from one CSU to another as a senior upper division transfer? I’m aware that doing this may result in my graduation being set back a semester, I just want to know if this is possible. I’m stuck at SFSU for the next year as I’m already locked into a lease off campus, I’m just worried about the cost of off campus housing and being so far away from home (My parents live in Orange County). I’m wondering how possible it is for me to finish the year at SFSU and then transfer to either Fullerton or Long Beach as a senior?
Contact CSUF and CSULB directly to see if they accept Senior level transfers. Usually you need to spend at least 2 years at any given college as a transfer to get your diploma from that college.

under Transfer Credit Limitations - you can only bring 70 units with you so, if they were to accept you, you’d be all of this year’s work. I’d just hustle to get through SF ASAP. You can probably do it in a 3 semesters and a summer…
That’s for CC’s I’m pretty sure. If you read the section below it it says there’s no limit on upper division 4 year credits, you just have to fulfill the 30 credit residency requirement.
Call each target school to confirm and to make sure there is room in your major. They may accept Senior level transfers but the majors may be limited.
