Transferring from Physics B.S(possibly with a minor in Math) to Aerospace B.S?

Hello,

I have just graduated from high school under Edexcel.I took my O and A levels(British curriculum) from my school and completed them in june this year.My O level GPA is 3.83 and A Level 3.33.I somehow got into Calstate, Fresno(The only one i got into among 5) with a SAT score of 1700(yeah, i know-I realized you should study for the SAT for more than just 7 days).I am an international student from Bangladesh, so i applied for F1 student visa, only to be refused under the dreaded section, 214(b)-my dreams of studying in the US were shattered. Now i am thinking about completing the first 2 years(sophomore year) here in my country and then transferring to a US university.I wanted to get a B.S in aerospace, or if not offered, mechanical. But here in my country very few universities(if at all!) offer B.S in Mech, let alone in aerospace.
EEE, ECE and Computer science are offered at every university in the country, so luckily i found a reputed university that offers B.S in Physics and also a chance to do a minor in math.My question is, can i transfer to Aerospace B.S program(junior/sophomore year) after having completed two years of Physics B.S?

I figured that since the first two years are general sciences and math/calculus with some exceptions, of course, will there be any scope of me getting into a B.S program in aerospace in the US(or maybe Europe/Canada)?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

bump!

What does bump mean?

The OP is simply bringing the post to the top of the “latest posts” list by posting a “bump”. In fact you have done that too…

OP, I think that starting in physics is a good choice for your goals. I would suggest that you might be better off studying Mechanical Engineering instead as an undergraduate as it is a far more versatile major and plenty of MEs get into the aerospace industry. In fact it is a fallacy to think that you have to have an AE degree to work in the aerospace field. By starting in physics you will be able to transfer but it may take you 3 years after transferring becuase engineering courses start in the second year in the U.S.
