Transferring from Purdue

How easy is it for an international undergraduate at Purdue to transfer to a more reputed university like UC Berkeley, MIT, or any other ivies?

Also, after getting a masters degree does lucrative employment get hampered by an undergraduate degree from a less-reputed university?

lol Anshuman, for your kindest information ucb and mit are not ivies.>>>!!

It is not easy for anyone to transfer to those schools. Just check the acceptance rates. If you want to give it a try and you feel you are of the right caliber, go for it. You will not know unless you try. Purdue, btw, has a very strong reputation in several fields.

@D-7 - Dude! i meant the ivies...sorry for the typo :P aint SO ignorant abt colls!

yeah purdue is consistently amongst the top 10 for engineering. Ive received approx 175% scholarship at purdue ( electricals electronics and computer engg). However ive heard that in spite of being a world-class univ employers always tend to give the MORE FAMOUS univs like MIT and Stanford pref even if the students' credentials aint too good.

by the way,it's interesting that Purdue is not very selective despite its better academic reputation
