transferring from RBS to SAS/SCIS

So, DS needed a 3.0 to stay in the RBS, he has a 2.98....He has been told he needs to find a new major. He has no clue what he wants. How does he go about finding a new major? They told him he has to select a major and apply to a different school this semester or he's kicked out of Rutgers. Do they assign him a new advisor? He doesn't have anyone to guide him now so any help would be greatly appreciated. The sad thing is that by the end of the spring semester, he will have that 3.0. His first semester freshman year is the only one he did poorly in. It's a bit harsh if you ask me!

Maybe he should try Econ or a business-related major and try to get back into the business school next semester? (He can try and keep up by taking the same courses he would’ve taken in the business school.)

Since it seems like RBS is telling him to transfer, it seems [Rutgers Undergraduate Admissions - School-to-School Transfer](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/SchoolToSchool/procedures.aspx?term=1) should help.

If he is thoroughly confused about majors, it’s best to transfer to School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) because that is the liberal arts school with many different types of majors.

I don’t know much else because I’m neither a RBS or SAS student with no experience transferring between schools. Sorry!
