Transferring from UC Davis to UPenn

Hi
The whole college process during high school was devastating for me; I did not get into my dream school (UPenn). I am currently at UC Davis. Davis is a nice school, but my heart is really at Penn. I was wondering if it is possible to transfer after my freshman year? I am an econ major taking 5 courses at the moment:
Microeconomics
Calculus (not applied)
Anthropology
Statistics
Piano

My SAT scores from high school were 2070 SATI, 740 Math 2, 750 History, and 680 Chem

Anyone have any advice, such as what classes I should take, how high my GPA needs to be, what ECs do I need, etc? I will appreciate any help; I am really desperate to transfer to UPenn.
Thanks in advance

You might want to get involved to build up your ECs at UC-Davis.

As for course selections, stick to the tried and true...no fluff courses.

Hey I'm at UC Davis too, I have thought about transferring to UPenn Wharton but I may apply to economics. I am currently a sophomore. I noticed that you're taking Anthropology, are you in Ant 2 with Prof. Klima?

Basically:
Get a great GPA
Do substantial extracurriculars

What are you majoring in? Are you applying to Wharton?

Hmm a fellow Davis student wants to transfer too? Well I'm taking Ant 1 with McHenry. You mentioned great ec's..can you give me any advice? I can't think of any besides internships and clubs. Thanks

Honors Program
Volunteering/Community Service
Getting yourself Employed
Internship
Clubs
Student Government
Research Assistant to your professor
Studying Abroad

that about covers it

Good EC for Wharton Econ major prospect would be:

-Loan Specialist at a local bank
-Financial Analyst for a firm
-Bookkeeper at an Accountancy Firm
-Budget Manager for your school student Governement (or any position that gets to do with managing budget for school activities and others)
-Volunteering to work as an assistant for your city governement's department of commerce and finance
-Starting an organization for your school (Finance Club, Accounting Club, Advocates for Future Economic Development Club, whatever)
-Going to Europe or other parts of the world to do assist in some major economic research program

above are what some of the admitted Wharton students did prior to their admission. And of course, Maintain your GPA above 3.8 with a STELLAR essay.

Good Luck~

That's quite a bit of stuff to churn out in one year...
But I will try my best to fulfill some of those EC's.
