Transferring from UCR to an Ivy League

Hello,

I understand transferring to a rigorous university would be difficulty, but what are the important aspects in the application? If you transferred from another UC to an Ivy League, please share your story or tips.

I understand that transferring will require high GPA, rigorous courses and extracurricular activities. How come they need your high school SAT / ACT scores? If my scores are horrible, then should I retake?

Thanks!

It’s actually much more difficult to obtain admission as a transfer than for freshmen application. Princeton accepts NO transfers. H and Y, have accepted admissions that almost dip below 2%. Cornell has the most liberal admission policy, close to 20%.

Successful applicants have a near perfect GPA, and are accepted into program/degrees not offered at their current institution.
