Transferring from UCR to UCSD as a computer science major

Hi all,

I recently got accepted to UCSD (sixth colllege) as a transfer for computer science major from UCR. I haven't SIR'd yet because I'm still deciding between UCI and UCSD. My dad really wants me to go to UCSD, but I wasn't really sure if I want to go there. I visited the campus, but I didn't necessarily liked the campus because it was too spread out, and I'm also not necessarily a beach guy. I heard the competition over there is extremely cutthroat, especially for science and engineering, and it gets to the point where people have no social life at all and occasionally commit suicide. I know this is exaggerated, and I don't really believe in this rumor. But I'm still a little scared to go to UCSD lol Are there any computer science majors out there to share their experience? If I did well at UCR, will I be able to do well at UCSD as well? Are most computer science major satisfied with their college experience at UCSD?

Thank you

Go to the campus you feel more comfortable in.

Comfortable campus => Higher success
Uncomfortable campus => lower success

Thank you for your answer. anyone else???
