Transferring from UCSB to...

I don't know if my decision is wise, but this is what i'm thinking.

I'm currently a student at UCSB in the College of Creative Studies in Literature. I'm considering transfering to Bard, Vassar, or Sarah Lawrence under Lit., and NYU for Dramatic Writing (Tisch).

UCSB CCS is really good and so I don't know if I should leave or stay.

Ideally I would transfer to NYU, but I'm still unsure. Any comments or suggestions would greatly help. Thanks.

I just transfered from UCSB to USC..I did that cuz i was paying nearly the same thing and I couldnt take the quarter system anymore.. What are ur reasons for transfering?? is money an issue for u?? are u out of state.?? ucsb is a beautiful place and i miss it already!! but maybe usc will be better for me in the long run.. who knows!

It's not clear why you want to transfer since you like the program you are in. I do have a friend at NYU who is miserable (mass communications I think in school of Edu??), I don't understand why she isn't transferring out. She says some teachers force you to agree with them or grade you down. And she is not liking the atmosphere or the student body (homogenous kids from long island.) She likes NY though and was able to get a studio apartment so the living arrangements are more tolerable without roommates. Bard, Vassar and SL sound divine.
