transferring from ucsc to ucsd or berkeley???

ucsc just isn't me and im thinking about uc to uc transfer. does anyone know how to go about this? this is my first year, but I had enough ap credit and I am now considered a second year. my first quarter I got a 3.81 gpa and hopefully I can maintain this by the end of this year. can anyone help me on what to do? what are the requirements? and chances of transfering. would I be able to transfer at the end of this year since I will be done with my 2nd year by then? I will also have a year of research experience after this year

They have transfer info on the UC website, or I would probably contact admissions offices…

You’re going to want to transfer before you end up being considered a 4th year transfer (in terms of units.) UCSD doesn’t accept senior transfers at all, and I don’t think Berkeley does either.

You missed the deadline to apply for this coming fall by over a month (deadline to submit the transfer application was November 30).

UCB has a lot of information on their website:
http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/transfer.asp

There is also the UC transfer forum here on CC. My suggestion is that you start there by searching the forums for information from others on the matter as well as searching UCB’s own website about it.

Note that you would have a lower priority for transfer than a CCC student. UCLA (unless things have changed in the past few months since I last researched it) is the only UC that considers UC to UC transfers to be at the same priority level as CCC to UC transfers.

EDIT: And was it really necessary for you to spam this thread in four different forums?
