Transferring from UCSD to CPP?

<p>I’m a first year at UCSD but I want to transfer to CPP. Its closer to home so I can be with my family, its much cheaper, and at UCSD I can’t do my desired major (mech eng, impacted). Plus many of my close friends go there.</p>

<p>The thing is, my grades so far at UCSD aren’t great at all. Is it really difficult trying to transfer to CPP from a UC? I was accepted there out of high school into their honors program, but I decided not to go.</p>

<p>Also, CPP doesn’t accept fall 2011 transfer applicants… So either I have to take another quarter at UCSD or would it be better to go to a CC for a quarter and then transfer?</p>

<p>Just finish another quarter at UCSD if you can because it might be easier to get classes there than at a community college because those are the ones most impacted. Basically stay at UCSD until you have all 90 quarter/60 semester units, then transfer</p>
