Hey guys!

I just finished my freshman year at UM Dearborn. I am planning to apply for transfer to UM Ann Arbor computer science program, engineering department, for winter. I would like to know if i stand a chance?

Overall GPA: 3.83
Credits: 33

My GPA for the prerequisite courses is 3.9

I have done 2 internships in my freshman year and a bunch of volunteering work, do you think I should bother applying?

Yes, you should. I was accepted in May as a transfer student in the Electical Engineering program (same department as CSE, and same 3.5 minimum GPA requirement)

I applied with 51 credits at 3.922, but my core GPA for the prerequisites was around 3.85. (All A’s and a B in calc 2 caused by work related attendance problems, which I explanied in one of my essays.)

I can’t see the harm in applying, if you don’t get in you have plenty of time to finish the prerequisites and apply again.
