Hello everyone!

I am currently a University of Miami student (first semester here) and I'm considering transferring and would like to hear some thoughts.

I am planning on majoring in Economics. While my economics professor is pushing me towards Wall Street, I have absolutely no desire from that. I don't want to live in a really big city and prefer a less stressful job. I'm a Tampa native who REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to end up in that area. I have a lot of connections there, and it's home for me,

There are two reasons why I'm considering transferring.

(1) I am very dissatisfied with the Business School here. The department is just a mess, and I really should have looked less about the actual school's reputation and more into the business school itself. I really dislike the city of Miami itself, and from everything I have heard, most of the readily available job opportunities are going to be in Miami.

(2) I really want to control where I end up living. Obviously, that may come with some financial sacrifices in the long run, but it's something I'm willing to take. If I really want to live in Tampa, does it make more sense to transfer to University of South Florida?

Any thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated.
