would it be possible perhaps to transfer from unlv to cal state long beach after two years?
if so, what would it take to do that?

I’m trying to transfer from csn to an out of state school so I am in the same boat since our general ed core is identical for the most part. Check out the cal state long beach website and see what their prerequisites are for transferring in as a junior to whatever program you want to get into.

why the switch?

well i’m not going to unlv yet, but i might plan on going there since i didn’t get to csulb and i just really wanted to get into csulb.

You can definantly transfer from UNLV to CSULB after 2 years at UNLV or a community college. Just need to finish your GE’s and major prereqs. I don’t know really why you want to leave a top 100 ranked university like UNLV (if you do attend) to a non-ranked commuter school like CSULB.

UNLV isn’t going to open any doors that csulb can’t. I think unlv has like a 40% graduation rate within 6 years.

whoswithwhatnow - can CSULB open better doors to Hotel Management than UNLV’s program can? But you know it’s w/e. It’s for the OP of the thread’s decision. If he or she really wants to go to CSULB then let them go.

I’d recommend going to a California Community College insted of an out of state like UNLV because it will save you money, there is a TAG/Transfer Admission Guarentee program for CSU’s (CSULB) at CCC’s, and it’s closer to home (if you want to be closer).

oh well i heard csulb was great for advertising/graphic design and that’s what i’m leaning towards but i haven’t really heard much about unlv’s program, so i’ll have to do a little research.
